This is a valley in North Carolina just a mile from where my father lives. I do love going back to these parts of the South and remembering that air smells sweet, water runs pure, and people seem less like an infestation. The mountains in this area have a strange wisdom to them... If you listen, it will let you in on it. |

Oh yeah, THIS is why I moved to California. Well, it was one of the draws... trotting handsomely alongside the endless gobs of sex, drugs, and rock n' roll.
Standing in the foam of great and turbulent waves of the ocean makes one realize how truly wonderful life is. It also led to the realization that ocean water contains sand in it that, upon drying, leaves the sand residue stuck to one's clothes and skin making for a very uncomfortable walk to the car, not to mention drive back home. |

I must admit the sea dragon from the aquarium in TN was pretty amazing.... if not edible looking.

| There are moments when I certainly do entertain the idea of moving to the mountains to hide in a hole somewhere. This is from my parent's cabin in South Carolina.
